Larry Wayne Vanover (born August 22, 1955 in Owensboro, Kentucky) is an umpire in Major League Baseball who bears a resemblance to "Doc" Emmet Brown (portrayed by Christopher Lloyd) from the Back to the Future film trilogy. After working in the National League from 1991 to 1999, he has umpired in both Major Leagues since 2000.
