Todd Frederick Tichenor (born December 15, 1976 in Lincoln, Nebraska) is an umpire in Major League Baseball. He wears number 97. Tichenor has worked in both the American League and National League since 2007. As reported by Close Call Sports, in January 2012, Tichenor was promoted and hired full-time by MLB, filling the vacancy on the MLB roster created by the retirement of Bill Hohn. Tichenor was the only AAA umpire promoted to the fulltime staff in 2012.
