Gary L. Cederstrom (born October 4, 1955 in Bismarck, North Dakota) is an umpire in Major League Baseball who has worked in the American League from 1989 to 1999 and throughout both major leagues since 2000. He developed a neck guard accessory to the standard umpire's face mask or helmet, similar to a style worn by NHL hockey goalies. Cederstrom often wore this safety device throughout the 2000s.
